This is my Venn diagram of my two characters. I was comparing them both. I wrote down what they did and what they said and I compared them both.

The Ants & The Grasshopper

Structure of Narrative Story

ORIENTATION - Where did it took place: It took place on the ground on a southerly gale. When did it happened:  It happened in winter and summer. Who is in the story? Grasshopper, the Grubs, ants colony, wasps and the weta.

COMPLICATION - What is the problem? The Grasshopper was going to die if the ants didn't let him in, the grasshopper needed a warm place and food to eat.

SEQUENCE OF EVENT - Plot -  What happened in sequence?  You can bullet point the main events. The Grasshopper was going to die The Grasshopper was sharing some of the food that the grubs gave to him to the ants. The Grasshopper had to do whatever the ants told him too. The Grasshopper wasn't prepared for winter. The Grasshopper didn't have and food to eat. The Grasshopper could do different kind of things.

RESOLUTION - How was the problem solved? The Grasshopper said that he will do whatever the ants tell him to do.

CONCLUSION: The Grasshopper decided to share some of the food to the ants because they let him inside and they taught him a lesson.
