I knew it was going to be an unusual day when my mom came into my bedroom and said "Come on your going to be late again for your Rugby tournament." I got up and prepared all of my gear straight away after breakfast. Mum dropped me off then went to park the car. Everyone in my team were so relieved because it had been my first time coming to my tournament early. I got changed into my uniform and was ready to get on, everybody on my team always depends on me.

As the match started I heard my Mom's voice as usual but I always appreciate her support for me. The other team kicked the ball high and I caught it and ran as fast as I could but I was tackled. I gave the ball to James and then James threw the ball to Luke and caught it. It was half time and I was so exhausted that I finished my bottle of water like nothing.

It was so tough that I almost fainted when we were finished the game. My friends and I were so happy that we won and my Mom was so proud of me. She said to me "I'm proud of you for doing your best" and I replied "Thanks Mom for supporting me during all my games, I wouldn't of done it without you." She smiled at me with lots of joy and happiness.

As we got home my dad had arrived just before we got back. I told him about everything and Mom told him how proud she was. My Dad was so happy to hear these stuff. He gave me a big hug and said that he was sorry for not coming to my games because he had a lot of work to do. I said "It's alright Dad, I'm just happy I get to tell you."

When I was going to sleep I saw a shooting star and I wished that one day I'll become a strong, healthy and great Rugby Player in the future. Then after that I went to sleep.

MY STORY
The best book to read will be Diary of a wimpy kid/ Ugly - truth because this book is about a boy named Greg Heffley was in such a rush to become older but on the inside he has so many thoughts about how it'll actually feel to be older. Greg deals with Boy & Girl parties, big responsibility's and different changes. Greg has a best friend Rowley who is always by his side and that's why I chose this book.

Tittle: The Stinky Cheese Vacation

This book here is called The Stinky Cheese Vacation by Geronimo Stilton. This book is about a famous mouse that is called Geronimo Stilton going on a vacation at his uncles(StingySnout) castle. His uncle lies to him and gets him to clean up his entire hotel that Geronimo doesn't know about.

At the end the whole Hotel was clean, tidy and  spotless. There were people that came to stay in the hotel for a while but once Geronimo heard them say Hotel he was so confused. His uncle(StingySnout) told him everything and then Geronimo got mad. When Geronimo decided to come back his uncle was so revealed to see him and he said sorry and Geronimo has forgiven him. So Geronimo and his sister, cousin and nephew got to stay at his uncle(StingySnout's) Hotel for his vacation.

To find out more about the weather in your chosen country log onto the Accu Weather website [http://www.accuweather.com]. Type the name of the capital city of your country into the search bar. It will tell you what the weather is going to be like in your country of choice. On your blog, provide a five day forecast for the weather in the capital city of your chosen country.

Activity 2: Imagine that you have been asked to create your very own airline. What would you call it? Design a simple logo for your airline and post it on your blog. You must include a short explanation of your logo below the picture.

My logo name is P.AP. P.AP stands for Pacific airplane, the flowers represent the amazing flowers in the pacific islands, the water stands for the waves of the ocean and the circle means the sunset.

Activity 1:Watch both of the current Air New Zealand safety videos. The first is a video that stars the All Blacks. The second is a video that stars Rhys Darby and Anna Faris (Hollywood actress).  Links for the videos are found below:

Once you have finished watching the videos, go to your blog and list three things that you need to do to stay safe on an airplane.

1. If there was an emergency during take off or landing, make sure to fasten your seat belt and place your forehead against the seat in front of you. After that, put your feet back strongly and get a strong grip on your lower legs. If there are no seats in front of you or if it has a very far distance from you. Place both hands on the top of your head, make sure your elbows are on each side of you and again place your feet back on the ground firmly.

2. When you are seated on a plane put on your seat belt on straight away and make sure that you hear a click from the seat belt. If you want to go to use the toilet or to do any other business to do just lift up the lever but when you come back to your seat just clip it back on for safety.

3. When you are in the air plane there are oxygen masks. Once the oxygen mask fall down you pull it and set it over your mouth and nose.

1. If i had the opportunity to go to wellington I would go and visit the museum because online I saw something interesting that I would like to see in the museum. It is called, The great war exhibition.

Activity 2: One of the most popular activities in Madrid, the capital city of Spain, is called ‘Bullfighting.’ It has been a part of Spanish culture for centuries. In bullfighting people called ‘toreros and ‘matadors’ fight with a live bull. The toreros do most of the fighting and, ultimately, capture the bull and tie it up. Once it has been caught, the matador joins the fight and kills the bull. Although most toreros and matadors are men, there are some women who also compete in the sport.
Not everyone supports bullfighting in Spain. In fact, about 30% of the population want it to be banned (stopped) completely. What do you think? On your blog tell us whether or not you think that bullfighting should be banned in Spain. Please provide, at least, two reasons to support your decision.

Answer: Yes, bullfighting should be banned in Spain

Reason 1: My first reason is because animals weren't made to be killed or captured. There are reasons why we need animals.

Reason 2: My second reason is because some people get injured and hurt. People do these kind of things for money or just to impress the audience.

Reason 3: My last reason is because it's cruel to an animal that has never harmed anyone and I think this is animal abuse.

My Country: GERMANY

Reason 1- I would like to visit Germany because they have different types of sports but some of them are similar to New Zealand.

Reason 2 - My second reason is that I would like the opportunity to visit Germany because I want to know more about their language and their history.

Reason 3 - My last reason is that  If I got the chance to visit Germany is because there are quite a number of people there so you can meet new people and make friends.

The Thief

I thought I’d lost my mind.  There was someone stealing from my favourite shop in the whole town “Rusky’s shop.” I said toughly to the man “Hey stop your stealing.” When he turned around I saw a bunch of bags in his arms that looked pretty heavy. He thought I was a police officer but I wasn’t I was just a normal human being. He took off straight away when he saw me and I chased after him.

While he was running I ran as fast as I could but there was no use It looked like I was just sprinting or jogging. I said to him “You know you’re going to get arrested right.” suddenly he dropped something and it was…. Money. I was so terrified and angry at the same time because I wasn’t to sure for what he would do to me. I started to run again but this time I was faster. He looked back at me to see if I was gone and (BANG!!!) He bumped into a huge pole and he was unconscious. When I took the bags of money I ran but only half way because I felt sorry for the man and that he was hurt badly.

So I walked up to him nervously hoping he wouldn’t wake up. I ran quickly to give the money back to Rusky and he said “Thank you Thank you so much I don’t know how to repay you.” I replied back “It’s alright don’t worry about anything I got this.” I ran back to the man and I carried him to my house then put him on my couch. As he woke up frightened. I told him “Why did you steal the money from the shop for.” “I took the money because I had no where to stay and I was hungry for food.

I said “why couldn’t you ask me well I am a nice person?” I told him “Did you know that was my favourite shop that you stole from!” He said sadly “I’m sorry I didn’t realise you liked that shop so much.” “It’s okay but next time just ask” he replied “Okay.” He asked me very slowly “Is it alright if I stay here for the night?” I said “Yeah you can crash here on the couch.” He said “Thank you and thank you for letting me stay here.” “No worries.” I said to the man “Friends?” He said “yep friends.”

I need to improve on my time because last week was alright but this week I did not show that I was capable of doing it. It was a foggy night. I was at my friends house. At about 9:00 I said goodbye to go back home. My house was only a few houses away. It was getting colder and colder in every second. I could hardly see my way. Thanks to the street light for trying to shine the way. It was windy and it started to rain. I felt weird because there was no one around. It was extra quiet on the street.

As I was walking all the lights began to play up. They were going on and off very fast like they are racing each other. I started to walk faster and faster because I was getting scared but the faster I walked the more chasing the light did. I ran and ran. I pushed the door and jumped in the house. I told my brother what happened. He came out to check but nothing was seen. He said “Thank goodness you’re safe, you were not caught in the light chase.”

Monday Morning

This morning I arrived to school late. Everyone was outside. I did not know what was happening. I walked and straight away I smelled fire and  the bell rang continuously.  I knew straight away that when the bell rings like that it means FIRE DRILL.

This morning wasn’t a drill.  It was REAL.

I felt scared and horrified so I hung my bag and ran outside to the back of the school where everyone was sitting and waiting.

My teacher called out the roll to make sure everyone is safe.

After a while Mrs Bell came to tell us that it is now safe to get back to the classroom.  Thanks goodness and it wasn’t serious.

Weekly Activity (Day 6) Activity 2

Activity 2: The opening ceremonies for every Olympic Games must include formal speeches, a parade of athletes, songs and dances that showcase the culture of the host country. Follow this link to watch the highlights of opening ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England.

In the opening ceremony for the London Olympics there were a number of famous English people including the Queen, the Spice Girls, David Bowie, U2, the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney. Imagine that we were going to host the Olympics here in New Zealand in 2024 and you were invited to be on the committee that decides who is invited to participate in the opening ceremonies. As a member of the group you must choose one of the following people to be in the opening ceremony: Richie McCaw (rugby player), Lorde (singer), Kane Williamson (cricket player), Maria Tutaia (netball player), John Key (prime minister of New Zealand) or Shaun Johnson (league player). On your blog, tell us who you think is the best person to choose and explain why you think that they are the best choice!

My Person: Richie McCaw

I would choose Richie McCaw because he is the captain of the all blacks and the all blacks is New Zealand's national team. I reckon that he will be a great person to represent New Zealand in the opening ceremonies.

Weekly Activity (Day 6) Activity 1

Activity 1: For all Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, the athletes from each country must wear a special uniform. The uniforms change each year. Look at the 3 pictures posted below. They are pictures of the uniforms that our New Zealand Olympic teams wore in 2012, 2008 and 2004. For this activity, you are asked to rank the uniforms from best (#1) to worst (#3). On your blog post your rankings and provide a brief explanation of why you ranked the uniforms in that order.

I would prefer the London uniform to be the 1st one because 

 the Jackets have the Olympic rings

and the New Zealand leaf on it.

I chose this one to be 2nd because it have some maori patterns

and it also has a half black and white New Zealand leaf on it.

I would choose this to be the last one because it doesn't have that much details

but I like the skirts and the long sleeve.
