For this activity write a short story (8-10 sentences) about what might happen next. Please be sure to include lots of details about what you might be feeling, seeing and doing after you realise that you are all alone in the forest...
I shouted out to curious kiwi and the rest of my group with frightens inside of me. After I shouted no one replied so that made me think about more scary things that could happen. I started walking slowly and moving my head left to right, up and down to check if I was safe.
Suddenly I heard a weird, creepy high pitched voice somewhere in the forest at the back of me. I ran as fast as I could but at the same time when I was running I was wondering where they could be. I tripped over a branch and got back up again, I was so tired that I didn’t even have anymore energy to run anymore. As my head looked up I saw someone standing with a back pack and so I called them for help.
As he turned around it was one of the people in my group, I told him of what had happened and he said that they were looking for me and when I went I saw my group again. I was so relieved and happy.
Bonjour Courtney,
ReplyDeleteYou may think it is weird that I have greeted you in French but I am goaling to greet others in different languages. I am proud to see you blogging in the competition.
Au Revoir and may your blogging carry on.
Hey Courtney,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but it was very uneasy to understand your story because it did not flow and your sentence structure were not quite right. If you want to improve in your writing please go onto our Spx Nu'u class site and look for a box labelled as writing. You click on the box which takes you to a slide where it talks about the 7 elements in writing. If you learn all about the 7 elements in writing it will surely help you with your writing tasks from the Winter learning Journey. :)
Keep on doing the great work and I hope to see you blogging continuously !
Classmate,
Von
Hi Courtney,
ReplyDeleteI'm writing to you from Canada and I'm enjoying reading your blogs. Your story is creative and I'm glad that it has a happy ending - that you end up back with your group once again.
It can be frightening to be lost in the woods, can't it? Have you ever had that experience? I have because where I grew up there are extensive forests and there are often pathways that criss-cross. It can be hard to know how to get back to where one started a hike. I always carry a compass with me now so that I can find my way home, especially if I'm out close to sun-set.
I hope you're having fun on your school break and enjoying these blogging activities! It's wonderful that you're working so hard at them!
Leslie
